History making..
Mclaren F1 held the record of being the fastest production car in the world for 11 years. It is lighter and has a more streamlined structure than even most of its modern rivals and competitors despite having one seat more than most similar sports cars, with the driver's seat located in the middle. It features a powerful engine and is somewhat track oriented, but not to the degree that it compromises everyday usability and comfort. It was conceived as an exercise in creating what its designers hoped would be considered the ultimate road car.

Now Bugatti Veyron came up to a challenge with Mclaren F1.

Dr. Gregory House

Dr. Gregory House is one of the man I respect so much. I was going to finish this drawing like 3 or 4 month ago, but I put it away for some reason. Now I had the right motivation to finish, just wanted to share with you guys. First human portrait. Be easy on me.

Who: Dr. Gregory House

What: Graphite pencil, tissue, brush and eraser.

Size: 10 inch by 14 inch.

It took around 15 hours. ( lost the track already.)

I wasn't aiming for realism. Taking a break off realism. I haven't draw a white car in a while, I decided to draw one. This time I added color on the lights, it doesn't really count as mixed media drawing. I enjoyed drawing the light shading on a white car. The rims were fun to draw. A tutorial of this rim will be up soon.

A while ago, when I was on S2KI forum, this nice guy Bill messages me if he could get a T-shirt of my drawing. I thought, why not? Send him the drawing after some questions and considerations. In return, Bill sent me back a T-Shirt back. Here are some pictures.

This car was fun to draw. First time drawing black rim. I don't think I improved much on this drawing. Anyways, the size of the drawing is A3. I didn't want to spend too much time. Details and time are balanced in this project.

So I have been waiting to get a Nissan 240SX coupe. I have been looking around on craigslist. Around 3 to 5 years ago, there were plenty of clean stock 240SX out there. Everyone was selling their stock 240SX. Something like this.

Very clean and costs around 3k for one of them.

So then few years later, I was checking up the market for 240SX again. Surprisingly, it is so difficult to find a clean stock 240 nowadays.

Such as this, you will discover

I asked.. Why would you do that to a such beautiful car. Why would you put on parts that doesn't even look good on 240SX?

Now, it is VERY difficult to find a nice and clean 240SX in Bay Area SF. I am giving up hope slowly.

These days I have been thinking and came to a conclusion. Why not just get a cheap car first? Then later on when I have an stable income, I will just spend some more money onto a clean 240SX.

The first car came to my mind was Honda Civic. I can't believe I am liking EG and EK a little bit now. I used to dislike front wheel drive car, because I am into drifting. Since EG and EK are cheap to play around with, saves gas and fun to drive around. I have decide to look for one. I don't really know the market for EG out there, still need to do some research first.

I want something like this. It will satisfy my lust for 240SX for a while. I hope.

And of course, I am not gonna give up my 240SX. Still in love with that sexy S13 front end.

Currently, I am attending college. Life is difficult. Perhaps, I should talk about what I am doing lately. I started taking my drawing serious after summer 2009. Ever since that, I couldn't stop drawing. As more people asked me for commissions, I really appreciate them. With the money I gained from commission, I invested them into things that would be beneficial to my quality of site. Part of the money goes to the fee to set up this site such as domain name. Part of the income goes to investment such as a better camera to take better pictures. I really thank those people who considered letting me to draw their car. It was really a wonderful experience. My next goal is to save up for a car I always obsessed with- Nissan S13. I know it's going to take a while, but I hope to get my dream car soon!

Once again, thank you guys for your wonderful support.

Quite busy with school lately. I haven't have much time to draw as usual. Time is money, so I started to concentrate and work faster on drawing. The reflection of the car is based in a parking lot. I found the bristol smooth paper is really cool. A tutorial on how to draw this rim is going to be up soon. Please check back again!

Finished up the rim.

Here is my latest progress of the RSX. I notice, many people has trouble shading the car. I would like to show you one of my technique. First, I will look at my reference picture. Detect the darkest and the brightest spot on the part you are shading. I start with HB pencil. Shading the line out first. Notice the set of lines are all pointed toward the same direction. Put down layers of lines. The brightest area has just few lines, for darkest area has more layer of lines. I wouldn't say my technique is cross-hatching.

After you got that down, you could begin the process of blending. This part is fun. Take a tissue or cotton stick or even blending stomps. Gently blend it with in a circular motion. Then you should get something like this. Look back to your reference picture to check if the level of shade is right, meaning if it look like the reference picture. If not, add some more layers to where it needed to be darker. And blend it again.

Repeating that process should give you something like this. The smoothness depends on what kind of paper you are using. I am using bristol smooth paper for this drawing.

Since there were some people asking me to set up a blog, I thought I could share some of my progress of drawing and perhaps give out tips for drawing. I have been extremely busy with school work, haven't got much free time to draw. I will keep you guys updated with my blog post!
